Berlin born textile designer Elisa Strozyk has invented Woodentextile – wood designed and manipulated into textile properties; making it soft to the touch and flexible. The result is simply stunningl.
At her official website Strozyk says: “Wooden Textiles” is an approach to responsible thinking concerning lifecycles of products. The outcome is a material that is half wood-half textile, between hard and soft, challenging what can be expected from a material or category. It looks and smells familiar but feels strange, as it is able to move and form in unexpected ways.”

Together with fellow german artist and photographer Sebastian Neeb, Strozyk has also designed the beautiful Accordion Cabinet, a cabinet on long legs and with flexible walls and doors. It is made out of a combination of wood and textile.
