Want Quasimodo and Nosferatu to join you for dinner?

When it comes to shopping, no European city beats Hamburg. It blows Paris and London out of the water, by far. But since Hamburg isn’t that “In your Face” or hyped as, say, New York, Barcelona or Paris, it take some serious detective work figuring out how to unfold the city to discover all the treasures.
Before I got to know Hamburg I had such preconcieved notions of it; Reeperbahn and a big harbour. That was it. But now I understand why Hamburgers love their city as much as they do (cause they really, really do).

From the upscale high-end shopping at Jungfernstieg, Eppendorf and Neuer Wall, to the more traditional and mainstream fashion at Möckenbergstrasse, to the alternative, edgy, sometimes boho, and smaller designer brands in Karolinenviertel, Sternschanze or in Altona, Hamburg will feed any shopaholic’s need.

Next time I hit Hamburg I will head over to Pension für Produkte (which btw has an awesome logo) at Neuer Pferdermarkt and purchase their brilliant and fanfastic Monster tableware. Horror movies are my favourite genre so what is more suitable than having Freddy Krueger, Nosferatu and Frankenstein’s Monster making their presence known at your dinner party in this way (cause you sure do not want them as guests)? Nothing, me think.

The Monster Tableware costs from 19 € upwards and is designed by Julia Dombrowski.

If you don’t have your way past Hamburg, you can also buy it online at Pension für Produkte’s online shop, where you also can check out the rest of the Monster collection

I also love their genius Taschenlampe, a lamp that looks like a shopping bag. It’s one of the most classic Pension für Produkte products, and is designed by Ornit Arnon. The Taschenlampe is made from wallpaper and is available in several different patterns and in two sizes. Priced between 49-59 €.

Yeah, I sort of forgot about the blog for a while, during high-season at work. Will be better at updating it from now on, and post more from my trips. Me and Emma is planning a Hamburg trip in April. Wanna share all my secret places of that town. I feel like i know it inside out by now, and yet I don’t of course.
